![]() ![]() ![]() So what I did is I started working on a little tool that can talk to the GAIA. But I found that Roland has made available a for the GAIA, also documenting a protocol to access its internal memory. Fiddling around creating new sounds is a lot of fun, and it sounds good! Now, Roland is also planning to release a software package to edit sounds on the GAIA from your PC, which provides some extra possibilities, however it isn’t out yet and won’t be free. It’s got three oscillators, an effect section, and almost everything is directly accessible from the front panel. Tim is credited on the factory sounds of KORG Prologue, iMonoPoly, Dave Smith.Ī little while ago I bought a synthesizer. Image.Roland SH-01 Patches / Sounds / Presets These patches have been professionally created by Tim Mantle of Psalm37Audio. Did it do the job for bass lines, leads, pads, appregios etc? I probably won't have it home until my birthday, but that's in two months, so I'm looking forward to sitting down with it later. Just curious if any of you have or used to have one. But it should be fun to mess around with. I kind of look at it as e decent entry level VA synth, nothing more or less. The only effects it seems to be needing is chorus, but there are effect units or guitar pedals that can do that if I really need chorus in a Gaia patch. If I don't like it, I'd still keep it because my SP505 or ST224 could sample it for endless sounds. ![]() For just $290, why the hell not? It will sound better than the Casio, there are free patches to dl from Roland, and I already know that the Novation UltraNova sounds better than the Gaia, but when you deal with pawn shops, it's sometimes just a bargain you spot. ![]() I spotted a Roland GAIA, and I just decided without even playing it just to put it down on layaway. I was at my local pawn store to pick up my Electribe Er1mk2 and my Casio MT240. ![]()
